 I love wine. In fact I work with it and I live by its trends. I got into this business when I decided to write a dissertation on Wine Marketing & Information Technology for my Master in Business. Then I figured that I had to receive practical sommelier training to understand the wine world at 360 degrees. Now I have this website and I work for a leading wine Importer/Wholesaler in WA State. As you noticed PairingWine.com is a collection of information about wine, focusing on Wine and Food Pairing, Wine Reviews and Wine Education in general. I hope you find my writing educational. Wine is a passion for me, it is harmony between culture and pleasure of living.
Most of the wines I love are definetely old world in style. If I had to choose today what to drink for the rest of my life it would be most certainly white and red Burgundy.
As an Italian, I consider wine a food product and not an alcoholic beverage. This is why I rarely find a modern wine that intrigues me. Most of them have something missing, probably a link with the food and the tradition of the land they come from. I taste an average of 40 wines per week (about 2,000 per year) and I can safely say that my palate is well educated. If anything else, I hope to convince you to try some of the wines I review. My mission is to educate and to make accessible to everybody a whole new world of flavors and complexity that are going to make life taste a little better...
